The Globetrotters Club Vagant vas established in May 1995 when ten of enthusiastic individual travellers united to create an organisation for people  who love to travel and learn about foreign countries and cultures.
Since the beginning Vagant was very well accepted in Maribor, Slovenia and abroad and it unites every year more members in a succesfull social and educational way.

All the members are active in providing usefull travel information to individual backpackers, tourists, groups and tour agents. They also gain new knowledges from members who present their travel experience weekly with slideshows and lectures. We also provide knowledge of travel photography and travel health.

Besides our traveller's lecturs with slide- and videoshows we organize our own one - or more day trips all over Slovenia and abroad and also educational backpack travel journeys exclusively for our respected members and in cooperation with domestic and foreign professional tour operators. We also organize hiking and cycling tours.

We are proud of our own exhibition place where members can exhibit their photographies and also our photographers are often hosted by respected exhibition organizers.

We also organize charitable events for people of world countries damaged by earhquakes, tsunamis, hunger, drought, war. and we succesfully collect a lot donationas by members, non-members and corporations.
